Ken and BiLan met in the summer of 2014 at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. Ken lived in Atlanta, and BiLan lived in Paducah, where BiLan was teaching at the time. They started a long-distance relationship via Zoom. During that time, BiLan was learning piano and would practice "Scarborough Fair" in the evenings, and Ken would sing along with her. Ken proposed to BiLan before Christmas 2015, and they got married on March 18, 2016. They've both grown older, buttheirlove has only grown stronger.
